Sleek I.Divine / ‘Oh So Special’ 12 Eyeshadow Palette. Normally £7.99!

I used to buy Sleek Eye shadow palettes when I first started doing make-up artistry and to be honest I stopped buying them after discovering Make-up Academy’s eye shadow palettes which are similar to Sleek’s so when I got this palette in my Glossy Box all I could say was … it’s OH SO SPECIAL! So I wanted to share this item with you all.

I’m loving nudes and naturals in my makeup world lately. So Sleek Makeup Oh So Special Palette brings it to the table and does it well. From what I understand the Sleek Makeup Oh So Special Palette was created for Sephora (not within the US) but was later released as a standard part of the Sleek Makeup Collection.  This 12 eyeshadow pallete offers browns, subtle pinks, creams, and beiges. The colours are a nice mix of light to dark so you can go with a soft, subtle eye look or a deeper, sultry one. Six of the shades lean towards the lighter side and six towards the darker. I find Sleek does shadow formulas beautifully even when it comes to matte finishes. The mattes are finely milled, blend easily, and offer great colour pay off but of course, the real joy is the more shimmering/frosty shades which have a buttery smooth velvet feel that blend beautifully on lids with full colours pay off. The colours remain true on lids even without the aid of a solid primer.

Kryolan for GLOSSYBOX | Blusher in Glossy Rosewood. Bonus product!(not to buy)

image

As you all know I am a BIG fan of Kryolan in my make-up kit I was so happy to know Kryolan have now brought a range out for Glossy Box (which makes me want to keep my Glossy box for that extra bit longer now) Kryolan is a trusted brand in the professional make up sector, so they have developed an exclusive blusher  just for GLOSSYBOX! It’s a high pigmented dusky rose shade so a good match for my darker complexions with a soft lightweight feel so you only need a touch of it when applying to the skin.

For those still wanting the December box which I am loving this month it’s never too late to subscribe!

Beauty News: L’Oréal  buys Urban Decay cosmetics…
L’Oréal is thought to have paid $300-400m for the California-based company makeup brand Urban Decay. Urban Decay has been around since the 90s with bright packaging and products with names purple Asphyxia and stray dog and the famous Naked palette that lifted the profile of Urban Decay in the last years.
Tim Warner, the general manager of Urban Decay, said: “L’Oréal’s strong innovation capabilities and presence in every channel of distribution will enable Urban Decay to reach its full potential in the marketplace.”
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the quality of the products will change?
